WHAT IS THE STRAY KIDS MV FICFEST?
This is a fic writing event that utilizes the wide selection of Stray Kids’ very own music filmography to help inspire fanfiction about Stray Kids themselves. That is to say, much like a prompt-based fic fest, writers are to ‘claim prompts,’ and write stories based on these said prompts -- the caveat being that the prompt selection is made up of Stray Kids’ music videos.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE?
CLAIM A STRAY KIDS MUSIC VIDEO. It can be a title track MV or a B-side Street or Performance Video. If you want to be sure if the video you’re thinking of qualifies, check this list. To avoid having all sign-ups be based on the same video, music videos will be unavailable for claiming after it has been chosen five (5) times.
WRITE! Your fic needs to be based on your SKZ MV of choice. It can be inspired by the vibes of the video, or it can be set in the universe that the video is set in -- as long as you can justify the inspiration (whether it’s the clothes they’re wearing, or the set they filmed in, or the way the members interacted in the video), you’re free to go ham! Stories can be Canon or AU, and your fic should be at least 1,000 words long, but there is no maximum word count. The lyrics of the song can also be used as a secondary or supplementary prompt. You’re free to write any genre, rating, and/or ship(s) as long as the main ship(s) and/or character(s) are Stray Kids members.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE ROLLING CLAIMS? Claiming for authors is continuously open until around 2 weeks before the deadline.
CAN WE CLAIM MORE THAN ONE MV? You can have one initial claim. If you finish ahead of the deadline, you’re free to claim a second music video. BONUS: You can choose any music video for your second claim, even if it has already been claimed five times.
HOW MANY WORDS ARE REQUIRED FOR THE CHECK-IN? There’s no specific word count that’s required. As long as you check-in, and express your continued interest in the event, you’re still in. That said, do please try to make some headway with your story, and if you think you can’t commit, please properly drop out. Other authors might be interested in the MV you’re sitting on.
HOW DO WE DROP OUT? While we would prefer that you don't, we understand that life gets in the way at times, and if it cannot be helped, please send us an e-mail to inform us so that we can properly update our claims sheet.
